Get started in Ableton
Install Aievea Sequence for Windows, find it in Live, and start a host-synced pattern.
Install the Windows VST3
- Close Ableton before replacing an existing plug-in. When the release is available, download the Windows package from your account library and extract it.
- Copy the entire Aievea Sequence.vst3 bundle into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Keep its Contents folder inside the bundle.
- Open Live’s Settings → Plug-Ins. Enable VST3 system folders and rescan. Find Aievea Sequence under Plug-Ins → VST3 → Aievea.
- Drop Aievea Sequence onto a MIDI track and open its window.
Let Live run the clock
- Choose DAW / Host in Aievea Sequence’s clock selector.
- Choose Notes, click a few pitch cells, then use the numbered step headers and inspector to adjust exact values.
- Start Live’s transport. The playhead should move across the pattern.
- Turn on Preview sound to hear the built-in monitoring tone, or follow the synth-routing guide to hear your own instrument.
Check the signal path
If the plug-in is missing, check the complete Windows VST3 bundle, Live’s VST3 folder setting and the rescan. If the grid stays still, check DAW / Host and Live’s transport.
If the grid moves silently, enable Preview sound and check the audio output, or check the receiving synth track’s MIDI From and Monitor controls. An enabled automation lane 4 at zero silences the preview’s volume.
